Bombardier Inc., Real Estate Services, has been the developer of Bois-Franc's master plan since the start of the project in 1994.
Since February 2010, Les Développements Bois-Franc inc. has been acting as the real estate developer to coordinate, maintain and develop innovative housing projects, in harmony with the history of Bois-Franc. Les Développements Bois-Franc inc. is a joint venture of Groupe Montclair and Sotramont, the two original builders of Bois-Franc.
The developer is responsible for the master plan and works on this plan in conjunction with the borough of Saint-Laurent.
The original developer has set up an ARCHITECTURAL SERVITUDE, a prescriptive, legal framework that forms an integral part of any deed of sale, which defines the spirit and intent of any changes relating to the outside of the buildings and the development of the properties sold to the original and subsequent buyers. This servitude includes standards concerning the architecture of the buildings.
the outside appearance, window treatment, choice of materials and colours, the development of courtyards, the type of fences and recommended landscaping, approved or prohibited parking spaces and the location of satellite dishes. The architectural servitude is the best way to guarantee and protect the distinctive features of Bois-Franc. It is now defined and managed by the Bois-Franc Owners' Association.
